Augustine Jewels is a British Luxury Jewellery Company based in Notting Hill, masterminded by GIA educated designer and founder Alexandra Morris Robson.
Augustine Jewels pride themselves on intricate and beautiful handmade jewellery. They only work with natural, ethically sourced gemstones that are handpicked for each piece. Each jewellery design is hand drawn by Alexandra before they are transferred into CAD, allowing for a more fluid design process. All of their jewellery is handmade in London by the finest craftsmen.
The Augustine Jewels collections are inspired by luxury travel destinations, from the South of France to the Sahara to Paris. They choose their stones to mimic the colours of the location. For example, the South of France collection is comprised of Sky Blue Topaz, Amethyst (purple), Prasiolite (green), Citrine (yellow), Rose Quartz (pink) and Smoky Quartz (brown). The pastel colours capture the elegant calm of the South of France: purple for the lavender fields, yellow for the sand and sun, green for the grass, blue for the sea, and pink & brown for the sunset. Our tactile Parisian collection mimics the cobbled streets of Paris, with each nugget moving independently of the other.
Alexandra studied Jewellery Design at Esmod School of Fashion in Paris before going to Cambridge University. After a consulting career as a Partner at Accenture she went back to her first love and studied Bespoke Jewellery Design at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) becoming an Accredited Jewellery Professional (AJP).
Alexandra also trained with the GIA in diamond and coloured stone grading and is a certified member of the National Association of Jewellers. Alexandra has expertise in the field of coloured stones and has access to specialist dealers in Aquamarines, Tanzanites, Rubies, Pearls, coloured Diamonds and other rare stones in London. She is therefore able to provide advice when it comes down to buying investment gemstones. For bespoke pieces, Alexandra works closely with the client, looking to the stone for inspiration. She begins with a stone and some sketches and finishes with an elegant piece of jewellery that can be passed down families for generations. Augustine Jewels was shortlisted for Designer of the Year 2017.
