Chapel Down

Chapel Down is England’s leading wine producer with an award-winning range of world-class sparkling and still wines, made with fruit sourced from across the South East of England.

Chapel Down is served in the UK’s finest restaurants and hotels, and has received the support of leading British chefs including Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver. Chapel Down is also an official wine supplier to 10 Downing Street and is the first English winery to ever feature in the London Stock Exchange’s 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain.

Widely regarded as the market leader in English wine, Chapel Down pushes the boundaries of wine production in England and continually strives to innovate in all areas of the business. In the past two years alone, Chapel Down has launched England’s first skin contact white wine, England’s most expensive bottle of sparkling wine which raised £12,000 at auction for charity and broken a world-record for the largest and fastest crowdfund.

Chapel Down also produces the hugely successful premium range of Curious beers and cider which are produced using winemaking techniques to create unique products that offer a real point of difference, including the popular Curious Brew lager which is produced with Champagne yeast.

The Chapel Down winery, based in the picturesque market town of Tenterden in Kent, is open to the public and welcomes over 50,000 visitors each year. Chapel Down offers guided tours of the vineyards and winery together with tutored wine tastings. The winery boasts excellent visitor facilities, including a two AA Rosette and Michelin Bib Gourmet restaurant and shop stocking high-quality English produce.
