The Pitch | Historic Royal Palaces

Create beautiful luxury product inspired by 1000 years of history – Historic Royal Palaces is an independent charity that looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, the Banqueting House, Kensington Palace, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle. Our commercial activities help to fund the preservation of these magnificent buildings for generations to come.

Why work with us?

A licensing partnership with Historic Royal Palaces grants the exclusive right to use our brand and add our royal seal of approval to product, packaging and marketing materials.

To inspire product development, we provide behind the scenes access to our archive of over 60,000 objects, as well as the Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection which contains 10,000 items of court dress dating back to the 16th century. Private tours of our palaces, and exclusive insights from our team of specialists, including chief curators Lucy Worsley and Tracy Borman, all help to inspire unique product.

Our work doesn’t stop once product has been developed, we provide extensive promotional support, not least the ability to use our magnificent palaces and gardens as backdrop for photoshoots, video reels, social media and marketing materials. A number of partners have launched their collections at our palaces, the perfect reminder for key customers and VIP clients of this royal collaboration.

Our strong and growing portfolio of partners covers multiple product categories, from Hobbs womenswear to GP&J Baker furnishing fabrics, Harney & Sons teas and Clogau Gold fine jewellery. We are also proud partners of existing Walpole members including, Cole & Son, Halcyon Days, Cavershall China and Royal Mint.

Cole & Son Royal Garden and Queen’s Key Wallpaper.

“It was an absolute privilege to have access to some of the most historically important buildings and gardens in Britain; the rich heritage of architecture, decoration and landscape design of the palaces providing an abundant source of inspiration for our design team. The Orangery at Kensington Palace provided the perfect setting for the collection launch; the intimate and exclusive experience proving a major drawcard for our global guest list.”
