Meet the Media

Anne-Marie Curtis, Elle

The first not-for-profit members’ club run to support homeless people in London into work, the House of St Barnabas - named after the Patron Saint of Encouragement - is a Grade I Listed Georgian building in the heart of Soho - and the location of Walpole's August 'Meet the Media' event for our membership.

Meet the Media Anne-Marie Curtis, Elle

The event was held in the House's awe-inspiring Chapel, following a Laurent-Perrier reception in the beautiful Silk Room, and an introduction from the House of St Barnabas' Joanne Wedderspoon, Director of Development.

On the eve of Elle's September issue redesign (the brand-new cover is shared above), we were delighted to be joined by newly appointed Editor-in-Chief Anne-Marie Curtis who shared her vision for ELLE with the Walpole membership, in conversation with Walpole CEO, Helen Brocklebank. Anne-Marie also discussed her (appropriately encouraging) journey from intern to editor of the world's biggest fashion magazine, as well as the importance of authenticity when telling a brand's story.
