Three days in New York City Walpole US Trade Delegation

Building on the success of the 2017 delegation which saw 13 brands, including Johnstons of ElginMolton Brown and Savoir Beds, showcase their extraordinary innovation, creativity, craftsmanship, heritage, quality and expertise to top business leaders, buyers, media and influencers, Walpole is curating a three-day programme of activity in the Big Apple. Please scroll down to read more about this activity.

All Walpole members are invited to participate in this activity, which will include an insights morning, member drinks reception, commercial meetings, influencer dinner and British Luxury Showcase staged at New York's The Glass Houses, attended by key media.

The three-day Trade Delegation will include the following elements:

Insights morning – Tuesday 23rd October

A full morning insight into local market knowledge and the political and economic outlook; the market for luxury in the US; the retail and media landscapes; and a trends briefing session. Participating Walpole brands will hear from businesses including La Force, JP Morgan, WGSN, Bloomberg and MM Luxe Consultancy.

Member drinks reception – Tuesday 23rd October

A private drinks reception for participating Walpole brands and their US colleagues to meet and network at the start of the trade trip.

Commercial Meetings – Wednesday 24th October

A day to schedule meetings and appointments with commercial partners and buyers.

Influencer dinner – Wednesday 24th October

A dinner to promote British luxury and participating Walpole brands to key opinion formers and influencers in New York.

The guest list includes Editors (consumers and business), department store CEOs, financiers, influencers and senior Walpole members.

“In terms of press interest and market exposure the Walpole NYC event surpassed our expectations. The number and quality of press, bloggers and influencers was exceptional and they responded very warmly to the idea of a cross-product, luxury goods delegation which generated a uniquely positive atmosphere.”
