It started with a ‘B’… Boodles launch feminine and wearable ‘Be Boodles’ collection

September 2016…/ The British fine jewellery brand, Boodles, is excited to unveil ‘Be Boodles’; a new ‘icon collection’ for 2017, launching this December, just in time for Christmas. Taking inspiration from the brand name itself, the collection incorporates the letter ‘B’ for Boodles into an abstract and feminine motif that is reflective of the brand’s contemporary design.

Boodles designers also looked at delicate fabric samples such as antique lace for inspiration; noticing the defined, curving shapes and delicate openwork patterns and incorporated these into the design. The typically neutral colour of lace is imitated through the white diamond side of the designs and offset by classic rose gold. This feminine colour pairing is characteristic of Boodles.

The lacy ‘B’ motifs are set as a mirrored pair; one side filled with two single diamonds and the other, diamond-pavé openwork. This symmetrical arrangement of positive and negative space creates a delicate balance. Boodles designer Aiyna Singh said, ‘Lace as a material has always captivated me. With Be Boodles, I wanted to illustrate the delicate balance between sheer and opaque to create something with contrast, but in a subtle style.’

Created from 18ct rose gold and platinum, the collection is made up of a delicate bracelet, a pretty pendant, simple yet luxurious earrings and two different ring designs.
