Clive Christian
In 1872 Queen Victoria of England gave the gift of her crown to the highest quality perfumery in the Empire – in 1999 British designer Clive Christian became the custodian of the 135 year old perfumery and the maker of No.1 – The World’s Most Expensive Perfume, of which only 1000 bottles are released.
Clive was commissioned to create a crystal bottle in the shape of a tiara to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s Golden Jubilee and since then his perfume has gone on to grace such fabulous events as Sir Elton John’s White Tie and Tiara Ball and the wedding of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.
As a marker in history, Clive Christian designed the No.1 Imperial Majesty – the ultimate perfume bottle created to hold 16 ounces of No.1 – The World’s Most Expensive Perfume and valued at over £100,000.
