The ultimate showcase for British Luxury - Walpole British Luxury Press Day, was held on 17th July to allow members to present their products to press and buyers. The 2008 showcase held at Liberty’s proved to be the most successful Walpole Press day yet with a record number of members participating and over 280 press attending throughout the day.
The day began with a press breakfast held in Café Liberty with Tyler Brule, Editor of Monocle and 10 Walpole members, and this was followed by other activities such as Whisky tasting with Chivas, Bespoke suit tailoring with Henry Poole and displays of leather craftsmanship with Ettinger.
Press in attendance included representatives from publications Vogue, Esquire, GQ, Glamour, Grazia, Tatler, Harpers Bazaar, Financial Times, House & Garden, Homes & Gardens, InStyle, Men’s Health, Red Magazine, She, Easy Living, Country Life, Elle, Intelligent Life and Daily Mail to name but a few.
