The Visual Merchandising team at Liberty and the Walpole stylist worked their magic to turn the 4th floor of Liberty into the perfect showcase for British Luxury Goods. The visual feast gave the Press lots to talk about and certainly contributed to the buzzing atmosphere throughout the day.
The productive start to the day kicked off with a press breakfast discussion, held at TEA on the ground floor of Liberty with guest editors Catherine Ostler, & Ticky Hedley- Dent from Tatler and 10 Walpole members, this was then followed by other activities on Member stands such as hand massages with a therapist from Chewton Glen, bespoke suit tailoring with Henry Poole and displays of leather craftsmanship development with Ettinger.
The press in attendance included representatives from publications Brides, GQ, Glamour, Tatler, Harper’s Bazaar, The Financial Times, The Telegraph, House & Garden, Homes & Gardens, InStyle, Men’s Health, Red Magazine, Easy Living, BBC News, CondeNast Traveller, Country Life, Intelligent Life, WGSN, The Times and You Magazine to name but a few. Amongst the participating members this year were some of Walpole newest members and Brands of Tomorrow, including John Smedley, Silver Cross, Ormonde Jayne, Brit Lintner, Lodger, and Corporate Member McArthur Glen as well as the following brands;
Boodles, Bremont , Chewton Glen, Chivas Regal, Clive Christian, Cole & Son, DAKS, De Roemer , Ettinger, Gieves & Hawkes , Goodwood, Hamilton & Inches, Henry Poole & Co, Hildon, Historic Royal Palaces, Holland & Holland, Johnstons of Elgin, Liberty, Nyetimber, Purdey , The Real Flower Company , Savoir Beds, Soane, Theo Fennell, Thomas Pink, Vertu, Walkers Shortbread
