The Walpole Awards for Excellence honour individuals and companies for their work in the luxury sector both in Britain and around the world, celebrating their outstanding achievements in design, craftsmanship, business and culture.  Among the sixty illustrious judges were Lucia van der Post, Yasmine le Bon, Lucy Yeomans, Nick Foulkes, Tony Chambers, Marcus Wareing, Mario Testino, Stephen Bailey, Jenny Packham and Brent Hoberman who judged the following categories: British Luxury Brand of the Year • Best Emerging British Luxury Brand • International Luxury Brand of the Year • British Luxury Design Talent • British Cultural Excellence • Luxury Brand Online • British Luxury Overseas • Corporate Social Responsibility for Luxury Brand • Best British Luxury Service • Luxury Craftsmanship

The Walpole Awards for Excellence 2008, in association with Barclays Wealth, were held on the 17^th November to honour individuals and companies who in the views of our illustrious team of judges, members and the industry achieved the pinnacle of excellence across seven categories including luxury, design, international, overseas, emerging and online talent.

Dubbed 'The Luxury Oscars', the Walpole 2006 awards ceremony recognised some of the World's outstanding brands and individuals.

This year's judges included international designer and jeweller Theo Fennell, Wally Olins and Lord March of Goodwood.
