Walpole has announced the award winners for its annual awards ceremony which took place on Monday 16th November 2009 at the Banqueting House in Whitehall; this year sponsored by Kuoni, one of the world's leading travel organisations. Each year, the awards recognise some of the world’s most outstanding brands and individuals. This year Walpole awarded the Medal of Excellence to the globally acclaimed photographer, Mario Testino.
The 2009 Walpole Awards for Excellence in association with KUONI and our event partners:

Tom Conti, star of stage and screen, presented the awards to some of the world’s most outstanding brands and individuals and this year Walpole introduced three new award categories to reflect the importance of these areas on the luxury agenda; including ‘Best British Luxury Service’ ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ and ‘Best British Craftsmanship’. This year Walpole awarded the Medal of Excellent to the globally acclaimed photographer, Mario Testino. The annual Medal of Excellence is a unique mark of recognition made on behalf of the Walpole members. Previous recipients have included, Dame Vivienne Westwood, Daniel Craig, Sir Matthew Pinsent, Sir Tim Rice and Lord Coe.
