A Call to Garms II pop up shop returns to Savile Row in support of Crisis at Christmas

The Pollen Estate has announced that the Crisis at Christmas Pop Up, ‘A Call to Garms II’, will return to Savile Row this December.

To date, 46 Savile Row tailors  and leading international luxury menswear brands have pledged to donate clothing and accessories to the in the initiative including Anderson & Sheppard, Harry’s, Norton & Sons, Gieves & Hawkes and Cifonelli. All proceeds from the menswear pop-up shop will be sent to Crisis, the United Kingdom’s charity for homelessness, before Christmas to help them to support their Christmas program and their commitment to ending homelessness.

The concept was brought to life by menswear stylist and writer Tom Stubbs. “I was so struck by the special work of Crisis”, said Stubbs, who has been looking for ways to channel the generosity and resources of the fashion industry to this cause. He continues, “The pop up on Savile Row is a great way to raise awareness around the most important aspects of the work that Crisis does in their centres.” Known for their personal engagement with homeless, Crisis offers year round support and training to help leave homelessness behind for good. “For a community that often feels so isolated, just simple conversation can make all the difference. We need to learn how to engage with rough sleepers all over our city to make them feel more human again.”

Located at No 31 Savile Row, the pop-up will offer exceptional bargains with accessories from £10, clothing from £30 and suits from £100. New donations will hit the shop floor every day to make sure that everyone can find something for themselves or Christmas presents for friends and family. Complementing the stylish offerings, a host of events, gigs and appearances will take place alongside the pop-up. The shop opening hours are 11AM – 7PM, Monday through Saturday, with the interior showcasing graffiti by street artist Ben Eine. Dermot O’Leary and Tom’s Shopping Extravaganza Evening will be taking place on the evening of December 11th,
with DJ Fat Tony and friends joining to support on December 12th.

The spacious shop in Savile Row has been generously made available by The Pollen Estate. “Savile Row is the world’s finest street for bespoke tailoring and we are thrilled to be working with Tom Stubbs and Crisis again on the world’s most sartorial charity pop-up experience,” said Julian Stocks, Chief Executive of The Pollen Estate. “We believe creating great places is not just about bricks and mortar, it’s about being part of a vibrant local community that contributes to wider society. We are proud once again to support the U.K.’s leading homeless charity.”

Last December, the inaugural ‘A Call to Garms’ raised over £75,000 in 9 days with minimal costs through the help of The Pollen Estate, shop volunteers and contributing brands.
