Brand Snapshot | Emirates Investment Group invests in design and development firm Echlin
London-based Echlin strengthens its position and expands offering with a new high-profile investor and stakeholder EIG together with the appointment of former Colliers CEO, David Izett.
The Emirates Investment Group has acquired a shareholding in Walpole member Echlin, with a focus on expanding the brand across residential, hospitality, commercial and retail projects. The Emirates Investment Group is an established financial services and global property investment company with interests in the UK, the Middle East and Asia Pacific regions, including the new 5* Palazzo Versace hotel in Dubai.
Over the next five years, the Echlin team plans to invest significant funds into the London and international property markets; and continue to work with important clients to deliver private and corporate design commissions.
Echlin, established just over five years ago by Sam McNally (luxury interiors fit-out specialist) and Mark O’Callaghan (former senior Burberry and Mulberry executive), has already made its stamp on Central London having completed a number of landmark projects and achieved notable industry accolades and coverage. Among these includes an International Property Award, inclusion in the RIBA shortlist, and features in How To Spend It and Vogue.
Through visionary design coupled with innovative marketing strategies and brand collaborations (including fellow Walpole members Ettinger, Floris and The Jackal), Echlin has built strong foundations and consistently achieved record sales prices despite adverse market conditions. Alongside this, they have worked with several high-profile private and corporate clients who have commissioned their design, development and consultancy services.
Also joining their team to aid their growth plan is former Colliers CEO and Cushman and Wakefield partner David Izett.
Echlin to date has delivered residential and commercial projects all over London – highlights include a RIBA short-listed Old Church Street townhouse in Chelsea and the final penthouses for Great Portland Estate’s Rathbone Square.
Echlin currently has a mixture of single unit and multi-unit development projects underway in Belgravia, South Kensington, Knightsbridge, Camden and Totteridge Common.
