With a warm, contemporary and textural planting style, garden designer Ross Allan has created a haven to showcase Gaze Burvill’s oak outdoor furniture and A la Carte outdoor kitchens on Main Avenue at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

For Gaze Burvill’s 26th year at the show, Ross Allan has created a richly sensorial space for family and friends to gather. The walls are partitioned with the scorched oak providing the frame to the structural backdrop, which is made up with stacked oak logs, and alternating with the climbing evergreen Jasmine which also adds a fragrant lift to the display. Structural balance is provided by a dark ‘meridian line’ running front to back across the grey porcelain floor, through the centre of the stand and continuing up the back wall.

The Gaze Burvill stand is very much about lifestyle, of course, and the therapeutic benefits of extending home living into the outdoors, with, centre stage, the outdoor kitchen. Offsetting the oak cabinetry of Gaze Burvill’s A la Carte display, large antique copper pots, log stack, herbs in terracotta pots, with ropes of garlic and chilli all create a mood of culinary joy.
