Live music month at Fortnum’s Bar & Restaurant at The Royal Exchange
Coinciding with a new dinner menu, Fortnum’s launches two nights of live music a week for September.
Housed in the majestic Royal Exchange, The Fortnum’s Bar & Restaurant showcases seasonal menus in the beautiful alfresco-style courtyard and new this month, diners can soak up the atmosphere with live music whilst sampling the new dinner menu.
Running every Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7pm, the Quartets will provide exceptional live music from various artists, creating the perfect backdrop to an exquisite evening of feasting. Among the performers will be soulful singer Dee and her band, delighting guests with mellow acoustics of old-school R&B, Jazz and Blues and the finely groomed The Gents, will have guests jiving to everything from Martin Gaye to Nick Jonas.
Accompanying the launch of live music nights sees an array of new delicious dishes on the dinner menu.
To start, seared scallops are paired with cauliflower, crispy pancetta and sprinkled with raisins and capers, whilst meat lovers will rejoice at tender Grouse Wellington and Pappardelle with Venison Ragu, served with red cabbage and Pecorino. To add a bit of theatrics to the dining experience, Carabineros Prawns are flambéed tableside before guests’ eyes.
To end on a sweet note, diners can feast on caramelised Crêpes Suzette, prepared and flambéed tableside, or indulge in a decadent alcoholic float such as the Queen and Henry, a sweet concoction of Fortnum’s London Gin, Pineapple and Honey Syrup, Maraschino, Strawberry Ice Cream and Black Olive, topped with soda.
With the sumptuous new menu and a host of talented singers, Fortnum’s Bar & Restaurant is the ultimate post-work hidden retreat in the City.
Open all day Monday to Friday, 7am – 11pm and Saturday 10am – 10pm
