Luxury aftercare service The Restory launches at Selfridges London

The Restory has launched its second Selfridges location at the iconic Oxford Street location today, following the successful July launch at Selfridges Trafford.

The Restory will be located on the ground floor adjacent to the Accessories Hall. The space will be a destination to bring all luxury items for revival and will educate customers on the benefits of restoring a piece with the service.  At the space, the capabilities of the service will be demonstrated which will include visual storytelling to educate clients on the infinite possibilities available.

As the retail and fashion landscape continues to change and evolve, The Restory proves how integral aftercare is to the luxury consumer. The Restory are redefining the market by creating a global brand experience, combining the art of the craft with the power of technology and empowering consumers to invest in the brands they love. By partnering with Selfridges London, The Restory will provide their clients with a trusted partner for sustainable, post-purchase services whilst promoting the concept of revival, repair and reimagination.

The service itself is simple to use – book a collection to any home or office anywhere in the world or securely drop shoes, bags or leather goods in-store at Selfridges London or Selfridges Trafford. All items will be sent to The Restory’s London-based atelier where they will be professionally assessed and quoted. Following approval, The Restory’s elite team of next-generation artisans will begin the required work. When complete, the item is returned, beautifully packaged, to Selfridges London or to a preferred address, locally or internationally.

Founder of The Restory, Vanessa Jacobs, says of the launch: “Selfridges is not only one of the most innovative retailers in the UK, they also notably support initiatives in favour of upcycling and sustainability. We’re thrilled to be working with them.”

Selfridges Director of Accessories, Eleanor Robinson: “The Restory champions the longer life cycle of luxury goods, supporting the notion of a circular economy.  In our London and Manchester stores, customers will be able to experience and learn about the restoration process, as well as see The Restory’s amazing results first hand. Real luxury is found in craftsmanship and longevity. The Restory’s Services reflect this sentiment and enhance Selfridges’ luxury offer overall.”

The Restory will launching at Selfridges Oxford Street on G from 2 September 2019.
