Member Offer | BOAT International’s Superyacht Design Symposium, January 2019
BOAT International invites Walpole members to the 2019 Superyacht Design Symposium, a two-day conference celebrating the best of innovation and design, in the yachting industry and beyond.
Now entering its second decade, the Symposium is regarded as one of the premier events in the superyacht calendar. It is attended by the leading lights of the industry including designers, shipyard CEOs and other industry figures, representatives from the wider luxury world, along with owners sharing their perspectives and experiences of yacht ownership.
For 2019 the Symposium will move to a new location, Cortina D’Ampezzo, Italy. Italy is the world’s biggest producer nation of yachts, and only 90 minutes from Venice, Cortina is its chicest ski resort; the town will provide a fantastic backdrop to the event.
Tickets also includes entry to the BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards, including the Young Designer of the Year, plus a raft of networking opportunities, including complimentary drinks events and lunches, plus a Mountain Lodge Party and the annual Ski Cup on the Tuesday afternoon.
The theme for this year’s Symposium is ‘Defining Innovation’, and will include speakers and panels covering everything from innovation in medical research, technology and cyber security, scientific exploration, luxury materials, car design and of course, superyachts.
The event takes place from Sunday 27 January to Tuesday 29 January 2019.
Walpole has secured a limited number of tickets at €1,214 each (10% discount on the 2018 price of €1,349 (plus VAT where applicable)). Ticket includes the Symposium, Mountain Lodge Party, Ski Cup entry and après ski, lunches on Monday and Tuesday, BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards and Welcome drinks.
Partners already confirmed include leading shipyards Riva, Perini Navi, Oceanco, Azimut Benetti and CRN; Walpole member Design Centre Chelsea Harbour, plus Italian luxury brands Moncler and Technogym.
BOAT International can assist with preferential rates on accommodation in Cortina, and in Venice, for anyone wishing to extend their stay.
