1904, Manchester. A great automotive pioneer and adventurer meets with an innovative engineer and one of Great Britain’s most cherished brands is born.

Hon. Charles Rolls and Henry Royce were two of the most progressive minds of their time and shared a vision for excellence. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is the enduring legacy of that vision. With an instinctive desire for perfection and working under Royce’s guiding principle of ‘take the best that exists and make it better’, Rolls-Royce’s Silver Ghost of 1907 was described by The Autocar as ‘The Best Car in the World’. This early accolade probed an lasting motto, ensuring the marque has stayed true to the inspiration and innovation that founded it.

More than 112 years later, that same desire for hand-crafted perfection remains the driving force behind a thoroughly contemporary, distinctly British success story. Since 1904, Rolls-Royce has created and crafted bespoke motor cars that bare the marque, symbolised by its famous ‘Sprit of Ecstasy’, an icon of the world’s leading luxury brand all over the world. The next chapter in Rolls-Royce’s history is now being written, as the marque continues to nurture the legacy of individuality, craftsmanship passion and rarity from the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, West Sussex.

When it came to designing the next generation of Rolls-Royce for a new millennium, fittingly the inspiration came from Sir Henry Royce himself: “Strive for perfection in everything you do. When it doesn’t exist, design it.” From that challenge, Phantom, Ghost, Wraith and Dawn were born. While each of these four models embodies the spirit of Rolls-Royce, each interprets it in a unique way. The Phantom family bears a legendary name and encapsulates commanding presence married to contemporary luxury, its signature design complemented by perfectly executed yet understated modern comfort and features.

Ghost harnesses advanced engineering and a host of hidden technologies to be both modern and dynamic. Every detail is precisely engineered for an effortless driving experience: one that presents a less formal expression of Rolls-Royce luxury, driving the company to new heights and introducing a new band of successful entrepreneurs to the marque. Wraith has been designed to redefine boundaries, paying homage to the daring Charles Rolls–a pioneer gentleman risk-taker racer and aviator. Wraith challenges perceptions, delivering on the promise of its contemporary fastback styling by presenting drivers with the most dynamic powerful Rolls-Royce experience in history.

The all-new Dawn Drop head Coupe has been sculpted to be unmistakably Rolls-Royce, whether the roof is up or down, and whether the car is at standstill or in motion. Classic design principles have been coupled with the latest technologies to create the world’s authentic super luxury four-seater convertible.

There is no such thing as a typical Rolls-Royce customer. Much like the collections themselves, the journey of creating a bespoke Rolls-Royce motor car begins with inspiration. It is at the marque’s global centre of luxury excellence in Goodwood, West Sussex where the vision of the patron is realised and executed, at the hands of the most skilled craftspeople in the world. The result, an enduring, deeply personal expression of luxury that flies the flag for British design and manufacturing excellence across the globe.
