Prize Draw | Win tickets to the London Philharmonic Orchestra’s performance of Wagner’s Die Walküre
Prize draw: Walpole members are invited to enter our competition to win a pair of tickets to the London Philharmonic Orchestra’s performance of Wagner’s Die Walküre at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall on Sunday 27th January.
The second of the LPO’s Ring Cycle concerts is a hugely exciting semi-staged production of Wagner’s iconic opera. A passionate story of forbidden love, the second part of the Ring Cycle contains some of the most compelling and emotional music in all opera and is an ideal entry point into Wagner’s epic world. Leading Wagnerian Stuart Skelton sings Siegmund, leading a stellar cast, in a sell-out performance.
Walpole has a pair of tickets to give away to a Walpole member and it includes an exclusive pre-concert canapé and Champagne Taittinger reception in the Weston Pavilion at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall, followed by a bowl food and Taittinger reception in the longer second interval. Post-performance you will have the opportunity to meet the musicians and soloists who will bring Wagner’s great music drama to the stage, whilst enjoying Villa Maria wines and dessert canapés.
Please note this performance commences at 4pm and is expected to finish at around 9.20pm. It includes intervals of 30 and 60 minutes’ duration.
To win, please send your name, address and email to Stephanie Robinson by midnight on Thursday 17th January. The Winner of the pair of tickets will be drawn at random on Friday 18th and will be notified by Walpole Head of Membership Stephanie Robinson on Friday 18th. Terms and conditions apply.
