Focus/17 (17 – 22 September 2017) brings together the design world at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour for an impressive six-day event. Welcoming both trade and retail visitors, it provides a rare level of access inside the creative process of design, and the global talent behind it.

With 120 Design Centre showrooms taking part (as well as outside participants in Chelsea), the inclusive event is all about sharing ideas, passions, inspirations and conversations with influencers, established makers, emerging innovators and luxury brands.

Over 100 immersive experiences include talks, demonstrations, workshops, receptions and discovery tours that explore the fascinating journey, from concept to reality, of defining new season collections. Masters of their craft showcase techniques, skills and ingenuity up close. Sessions that speak to the senses is a new benchmark, bringing an emotional connection in an increasingly fast-paced world. On the main stage, a stellar line-up of international speakers share their experiences at the authoritative Conversations in Design series.

This fusion of design encounters, together with opportunities to connect with 600+ leading international brands, offers a dynamic collective unseen anywhere else.

A cultural event in the broadest sense, the busy programme is animated by further expressions of creativity such as fresh dining experiences from Tom’s Kitchen at the Tatler Restaurant, inventive pop-ups, floral displays by Tony Marklew and a specially commissioned aerial installation of re-engineered paper by Cutture.

There is courtesy transport and entrance is free.

Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour plays a significant role at the heart of the design community. A fixture on the international design calendar, Focus/17 is a testament to its continued growth, diversity and openness to new ideas and visitors. This year sees an influx of new participants opening in time for the show.

Focus/17 is a Design Destination at the London Design Festival.
