Why is the US and New York such an important market for your brand?
Traditionally the US has always been an important market for us. Especially the East coast, and New York in particular. Many US customers visit our shop in St James’s Street, London or visit our website. We also wholesale our hats to many businesses all over the US.
Our hats have always had a timeless appeal. The heritage and the quality of our products, which our company is very proud of, has always been popular in the US.
What is your key aim / what are you hoping to achieve by participating in the Walpole Trade Delegation?
Our key aim, by participating in the Walpole delegation, is to generally increase the exposure of our brand in the US and to increase our wholesale sales by reaching out to important buyers in mens' and womenswear.
What will you be showcasing during the trip?
We will be showcasing a cross-section of our products including felt hats, caps and panama hats. We will also be launching our new Escorial wool range of hats and caps in the US.
What is the one thing you’d like the US customer to know about your brand?
We are the oldest hat shop in the world and still at the forefront of hat design and innovation. We are a ninth generation family business who have always prided ourselves on selling the finest quality hats to the good and the great throughout our 343-year history.
