My Life’s Work | Balthazar Fabricius, CEO, Fitzdares
In this new weekly series, we meet a Walpole member chief executive to discover what makes them tick, how they define success, and what keeps them awake at night. This week, Balthazar Fabricius, CEO of bespoke bookmakers Fitzdares, talks about the importance of finding a mentor and his joy in discovering the perfect gift.
Balthazar Fabricius grew up on the Goodwood Estate, and was educated at Sherborne, followed by King’s College London. He cut his teeth on Ladbrokes’ Graduate Scheme in 2002, before founding Fitzdares in 2005. In 2007, Fitzdares became one of Walpole’s inaugural Brands of Tomorrow alongside Nyetimber, Bremont, Miller Harris, Astley Clarke and Persephone Books.
