With over 30 years' worth of experience at British shirtmaker Turnbull & Asser, Mr. Steven Quin is a name that is synonymous with bespoke shirtmaking and British luxury as a whole.
Joining Turnbull in 1984 as a fresh-faced 20-year old, Mr. Quin worked under the tutelage of former director, Mr. Kenneth Williams. Gaining an insurmountable level of experience, he worked his way up from a junior member of staff to eventually become holder of the Royal Warrant following the retirement of cutter, Mr. Paul Cuss in 1999. Discussing his experience of holding the Royal Warrant, Mr. Quin said, "Making shirts for His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales and to hold a Royal Warrant on his behalf is an honour. The first occasion you meet him is obviously nerve-wracking, but he is charming and has the skill to put people at ease."
A bastion of British luxury, Mr. Quin is Turnbull & Asser's current Retail Director and has been responsible for fitting some of the world's most influential men and women, from royalty and captains of industry, to artists and stars of stage and screen. Reflecting on his time at the heritage shirtmaker, he said, "Our owners keep us as a family. The company’s given me an awful lot, and not just employment, either; I’ve had some of the best experiences, travelled the world and I even met my wife at work. You can’t say that for many companies today. Long may it be so at Turnbull & Asser."
