What is your favourite holiday destination?
I have to say that I absolutely love our staycations in Switzerland. My wife and I enjoy a peaceful life in the picturesque village of Coppet near Geneva, where we are spoilt with beautiful views of Lac Leman, the mountains and the growing number of vineyards.What is your top tip for surviving the summer heat in style? Wear diamonds; the best conductor of heat!
Have you ever had a ‘lightbulb’ moment related to your business or career while taking some downtime? Even though I love my quiet life in Geneva, my ultimate source of inspiration comes from my regular visits to London to visit my children and the House of Backes & Strauss. Its youthful dynamism, for example, inspired the creation of our most recent Miss Victoria collection.
What is your holiday read this year? Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari was definitely a page-turner and now I cannot put down Homo Deus either!
Your favourite al fresco drinking/dining spot? Our very own terrace in Coppet, where my family and I enjoy a glass of wine along with our dinner, after which I also light my cigar (provided my daughter is not around ?).
