A Summer of Luxury | Holiday with… Tessa Packard

As Walpole’s Summer of Luxury draws to a close, it’s clear that Italy is a favoured holiday destination for many of our members (and indeed, five of the Walpole team who have travelled to the land of pizza and pasta this summer). Fine jewellery designer Tessa Packard also finds herself drawn to the country, and in today’s Holiday with… discusses her love for Tuscany (and the book every entrepreneur should be reading).

Malcolm Gladwell’s What the Dog Saw – Intellectual adventure stories aimed at the entrepreneur. Covering topics from criminology to perfecting ketchup recipes, Gladwell’s chapters explore the subject of business from a human psychology point of view, showing how the most ordinary subjects or everyday objects have been influenced or shaped by brilliant minds. A truly inspiring book for any entrepreneur.

L’Andana Hotel in Tuscany. This beautiful, hill-top residence near Castiglione della Pescaia is nestled at the heart of the Tenuta La Badiola vineyard, surrounded by olive groves and untouched forest. Even on the hottest of summer’s day a breeze can be felt travelling across the many terraces and gardens of the hotel, making it a perfect retreat to enjoy in either July or August. Dinner al fresco at the Villa Restaurant is perhaps one of the most perfect spots to enjoy cold Vermentino and a view of the sun setting over the distant marshes. Conveniently dog friendly.
