At the end of last year, the brand unveiled its first 100% sustainable leather bag: The Portobello Tote, made entirely at Mulberry’s carbon-neutral factories in Somerset, using heavy grain leather from a gold-rated tannery, which in turn is a by-product of food production. And last week, the brand launched The Mulberry Exchange, part of its 'made to last' initiative where customers can trade in their old bags for a gift voucher towards one that's new.
Mulberry's commitment to sustainable growth is discussed in more detail in the above video, filmed at the 2020 Walpole Future of British Luxury Summit by Allied Content, with Mulberry's Marketing and Digital Director Charlotte O'Sullivan in conversation with Lydia Slater, Editor in Chief of Harper's Bazaar.
