Continuing the Orchestra’s Isle of Noises series, the playlist is designed to educate and entertain listeners, and includes select highlights and deep cuts of the LPO’s forthcoming London season – with a focus on celebrating landmark classics inspired by the British Isles. Saturday 5th October 2019 As featured in the Royal Wedding of Harry and Meghan, Sheku Kanneh-Mason (2016 Young Musician of the Year) debuts with the LPO on 5th October with the quintessentially British Elgar Cello Concerto - a work whose haunted poetry takes on a fresh meaning for each new generation of cellists.

Saturday 12th October 2019 In the summer, the LPO were delighted to announce the appointment of Edward Gardner as Conductor Designate of the Orchestra, taking up position at the end of Vladimir Jurowski’s tenure in 2021. Join Ed for an evening of great singing and uninhibited emotion with one of the mightiest choral masterpieces in the repertoire, delivered by a team of soloists worthy of a major operatic production.
