The Power List 2020 | Who will be named as the 50 Most Influential People in British Luxury?
The second-annual Walpole Power List, in association with Investec, will be revealed on Monday 16th November: the day when – in a normal year – we would have hosted the Walpole British Luxury Awards.
While we are disappointed not to bring the sector together at The Dorchester, and celebrate its successes for the 19th consecutive year, we will instead focus on the individuals within brands who – despite enormous challenges throughout 2020 – have continued to steer the sector to success.
This year, the Power List recognises the Heroes, Game-Changers, Gurus, Legends, Rising Stars, Taste-Makers, Custodians and Innovators within the Walpole membership; watch this space for more information and to discover who will be named the 2020 50 Most Influential People in British Luxury.
The inaugural Walpole Power List, in association with Inzito and Coutts, has been revealed at a party at Ennismore Sessions House in London on Thursday 6th June.
This week's Power List profile focuses on the Game Changers of British luxury - those individuals doing something innovative in the sector. Brothers Nick and Giles English - the founders of Bremont Watch Company - discuss the history of British watchmaking and why, as a new brand, you have to be a disruptor to get your voice heard.
Legendary hotelier Thomas Kochs is today's Power List profile, as we return to our countdown of the 50 Most Influential People in British Luxury. In this short film by Allied Content, Thomas discusses the importance of integrity and honesty, and why he doesn't regret a single moment of his career.
