The Walpole Power List 2020 The Rising Stars: Francesca Lindberg, PR Manager, The Hari

Starting her career in the communications team at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, Francesca Lindberg fell in love with luxury hospitality – it allowed her to work in a dynamic and glamorous environment alongside like-minded people; what more could she want? After a few years working at Peretti Communications, Francesca now combines her in-house experience with her time in-agency to look after the PR for luxury five-star hotel, The Hari, in Belgravia.

What does it mean to you to be named a Walpole 2020 Power List winner?

It was honestly such a surprise, the Walpole 2020 Power List showcases experts in their field and I am so excited to be part of the list this year. Much of PR in the luxury sector is behind the scenes and so for a role like mine to be recognised is testament to all the hard work we do.

Why do you think you were named on the List this year?

It’s so hard to talk about yourself when you spend most of your working life promoting others! I think the luxury hotel industry in London is very crowded and it’s important to always be working a few steps ahead, thinking of the next big package or promotion, whilst keeping true to the brand. I am very lucky to work in a small, creative and supportive team, where nothing is too big or outrageous – in fact, the bigger, the better! – and at The Hari, we’re not afraid to take risks and push the envelope a little bit further.
