The Walpole Power List 2020

The Story-Tellers: Zanny Gilchrist

Today we speak to Zanny Gilchrist, long-time supporter of Walpole, and PR for luxury British leather goods brand Ettinger. In 20 years of working with Walpole Zanny has worked with several Walpole member brands, from Goodwood to former Brand of Tomorrow MULO, here we hear from her just what it means to be included on the 2020 Power List.

The Walpole Power List 2020 The Story-Tellers: Zanny Gilchrist

"My career has taken me from a top London PR agency to a small specialist food & drinks agency, to in-house as head of PR at the Duke of Richmond's Goodwood Estate, and then freelance for the last fifteen years. I have worked with local, national and international British luxury brands and have enjoyed representing privately-owned country estates, cultural attractions, food and drink brands, a luxury country house hotel & spa and style and accessories brands.  Last year I also initiated and organised on behalf of Ettinger a successful multi brand British Men's Style press day which I hope, COVID allowing, I will organise again in 2021."

What does it mean to you to be named a Walpole 2020 Power List winner?

It is a wonderful personal accolade from a hugely influential organisation and great team who are a delight to work. It is also a great morale booster in these very turbulent and challenging times.

Why do you think you were named on the List this year?

I first started working with Walpole nearly 20 years ago when I was PR at Goodwood and then when I went freelance, Ettinger was a long standing member so the relationship continued and more recently I have been working with MULO footwear, a Brand of Tomorrow in 2015, so I think we know each other pretty well now and I must be doing something right!
