The Walpole Power List | The Innovators: Linda Plant, Director of Strategic Relations at Edwardian Hotels London

We begin the new month with a Power List profile on Edwardian Hotel London’s Linda Plant, who brings together two of the capital’s greatest assets (in non-Covid times): luxury hospitality – most notably the group’s May Fair Hotel and Radisson Blu Edwardian – and leading artistic and cultural venues and events, including The Royal Academy, National Theatre, Donmar Warehouse, London Fashion Week and London Film Festival.

The Power List is held in association with Investec.

Linda Plant was named Director of Strategic Relations for Edwardian Group, London in 2016.  She joined the company in 1990 and has held a number of positions within the group including Group Head of Marketing for 10 years and Group Head of Sales for 4 years prior to taking up the position as Director of Strategic Relations.

Linda oversees the global partnership efforts of London’s largest privately owned hotel company, including the execution of business strategies and collaboration with key commercial partnerships. Her current responsibilities include spearheading partnership strategies with major Arts & Culture, Charity, Trade and key Commercial bodies.

The Edwardian Group London includes the brands Radisson Blu Edwardian and the May Fair Hotel and is considered one of the main luxury hotel groups in the UK.  In 2021, the company will open a new build 5 star hotel in Leicester Sq. London.

She works closely with Edwardian’s key industry partners, Visit Britain and London & Partners. Linda also sits on the steering committee of the Edwardian Group’s charity fund. Prior to joining Edwardian Group, London, Linda held posts with a number of hotel groups in the UK.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO YOU TO BE NAMED A WALPOLE POWER LIST WINNER?

I’m immensely pleased and proud to be recognised by Walpole, particularly because the award acknowledges the innovative power of the marriage between Luxury, Hospitality and Arts & Culture.

WHY DO YOU THINK YOU WERE NAMED ON THE LIST THIS YEAR?

The Edwardian Hotel Group is extremely visionary when it comes to creative partnerships and we recognise that Arts & Culture are central to London’s identity as one of the greatest cities in the world. We have therefore forged highly original and innovative partnerships with London’s leading artistic and cultural venues.  The Royal Academy and the National Theatre are just two examples of fabulous partnerships that helped to bring a greater depth to our company.
