Yesterday saw our delegation gather under the bluest of skies at prestigious new development Hudson Yards for a behind-the-scenes tour of Neiman Marcus . The delegation of 18 British luxury brands was welcomed in-store by Kerri Larkin, Head of PR at Neiman Marcus and General Manager Mary McGreavey, and discovered how Neiman Marcus are pioneering physical and digital experiences in a way not seen at other stores. It was then onto The Metropolitan Museum to honour Leonard Lauder, Chairman Emeritus of The Estée Lauder Companies for his promotion of Anglo-American Trade and Cultural Relationships - click here to read more. In a similar vein to yesterday, the day ended with another cocktail party, this time at the private residence of Antony Phillipson, Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for North America and Consul General in New York. The culmination of our trip is the Media Showcase at The Glasshouses, an impressive event space in Chelsea, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing the New York skyline. Key editors, influencers and press have been invited to attend the Showcase: a beautifully curated experiential event demonstrating the unique qualities of British luxury – the heritage, innovation, craftsmanship, creativity and talent at the heart of the 18 brands joining this year’s delegation.
