Today promises to be a packed day of insights and opportunities in New York City, and we will be sharing all of our adventures over on Instagram Stories @walpole_uk, or on social using the hashtags #WalpoleNYC,#LuxuryisGREAT and #CelebrateBritishLuxury.

The Art of British Luxury Hospitality Thought Leadership Event

New for 2019, we have introduced a new hospitality-focused event unveiling a report titled, The Art of British Luxury Hospitality, published in partnership with Notable. Exploring the renewed appeal of the UK’s 5-star hotels and wealth of travel opportunities for modern American luxury travellers, the report examines topics from London’s rich arts and cultural scene, to the blending of homeliness and luxury hospitality, multi-generational vacationing, and the rise of elevated adventure experiences in order to achieve a new benchmark in luxury travel. English Afternoon Tea with Dame Glenda Bailey, OBE, Editor-in-Chief, Harper’s Bazaar

3pm – 4.30pm

Venue: 4th Floor, HEARST Tower, 300 West 57th Street.

Guests will join us at a quintessentially English afternoon tea with Dame Glenda Bailey, Editor-in-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar, to discuss her vision for the title, insights into the readership, the evolving media landscape and share the latest news from the British luxury brands joining Walpole on the US trip. At the tea we will also be joined by Glenda’s senior editorial team including Executive Fashion Director - Nicole Fritton, Accessories Director - Amanda Alagem, Deputy Fashion News Editor - Alison Cohn, and Fashion & Accessories Editor - Jaclyn Cohen.

Cocktail Party hosted by Quintessentially, Benveniste Couture & Spring Studios at Spring Place

6pm – 8pm
