Walpole British Luxury Awards 2023
An unmissable event in our industry’s calendar, this year’s Walpole British Luxury Awards will once again be hosted in the stunning ballroom at The Dorchester on London’s Park Lane. The ceremony will honour those individuals and brands who have achieved the pinnacle of excellence across a variety of categories. With the most notable names in our sector in attendance, winning a Walpole British Luxury Award is the ultimate honour for any high-end British brand.

This year we are welcoming nominations for five Walpole British Luxury Awards:
  • Made in the UK
  • Creative Collaboration
  • Game-Changer
  • Sustainable Luxury Brand of the Year
  • British Luxury Brand of the Year
All awards nominations will be reviewed by a panel of luxury sector experts. Two awards will have an additional stage of judging. Sustainable Luxury Brand will be evaluated by a jury of sustainability experts with a strong understanding of what it means to be a sustainable luxury brand and British Luxury Brand of the Year will be decided by vote by all 250+ Walpole Members, as well as the new Walpole Academy: a hand-picked selection of luxury media and other luxury stakeholders.

Made in the UK
Awarded to the British luxury brand that has demonstrated excellence in, and a commitment to, the making and development of British luxury goods and/or services, and has created an exceptional export business selling the best of UK luxury to the rest of the world.

The award for Visionary recognises and celebrates an individual in the British luxury sector who has shown exceptional creativity and foresight throughout their career, and who inspires others to think differently.

Cultural & Social Contribution
The recipient of this award will be recognised for their outstanding contribution to stimulating conversation around societal inequities and for their contribution to the cultural landscape - either through their career or philanthropic efforts.
Great Creative Briton
The awards for Great Creative Briton celebrate individuals who represent the very best of creative and cultural talent in the UK today. Their innovation, experimentation, skill and artistic impact make them outstanding global ambassadors, capturing the breadth, diversity and freedom of expression for which our country is famous.
Artistic Pioneer
This award recognises an individual who has elevated their artform to unprecedented levels of distinction by challenging conventions, reconfiguring the medium, and creating an outstanding body of work that will endure as a historical marker of cultural excellence.
Creative Collaboration
Awarded to a British luxury brand that has launched a collaboration with an individual, a brand or a cultural institution to create a new, innovative luxury product or experience.
Sustainable Luxury Brand of the Year
Awarded to the British luxury brand that has made sustainability an inherent part of its business, and has demonstrated significant progress in the past year towards applying sustainability best-practice to all aspects of its ecosystem.

Awarded to the innovators or innovations of British luxury – people, products or services which have shifted the dial and demonstrated meaningful change within their sector.

British Luxury Brand of the Year
The British Luxury Brand of the Year award is not only a clear demonstration of excellence and achievement over the past twelve months, but also sets a new benchmark for distinction against which all other homegrown high-end marques should be judged.

Luxury in the Making
The Luxury in the Making accolade is awarded to a business which has demonstrated and shown a commitment to the making of highly-skilled - including specialist or heritage - crafted luxury goods. The brand should have also shown considerable dedication to the preservation and fostering of talent in the UK, as well as investment in training and development.
