On the morning of Monday 10th March 2025, a selection of Walpole members gathered in the Acacia Room at The Jumeirah Carlton Tower just off London's Sloane Street for the first event in our new Inclusive Luxury Programme – a series of seminars dedicated to exploring diversity, equity and inclusion in the luxury ecosystem.
This session was hosted by brand and marketing specialist Daniel Peters, founder of Walpole partner organisation Minority Report Group. Launched in 2020, the organisation exists to create inclusive workplace culture for diverse voices, by advancing the conversation around equity and inclusion to a point of measurable change.
Throughout the morning, Peters focused on how careers are often influenced by the environment and how people from minority backgrounds struggle to gain access, let alone to have opportunities to transition into senior positions of influence. With expert leadership from Peters, attendees explored some of the challenges that diverse talent face when navigating career progression, and encouraging guests to explore and discuss how their professional experiences, roles, and networks have shaped their career opportunities and perspectives.
Thanks to the team at The Jumeirah Carlton Tower for their hospitality – and scroll down for all the photos from the event.
