Reviving and reinvigorating our popular 'Meet the Media' series, we are delighted to welcome Anne-Marie Curtis, editor-in-chief of ELLE UK, to The Chapel at the House of St Barnabas.Meet The Media: Anne-Marie Curtis, ELLE UKTuesday 8th August 2017 6.30PM - 9.30PM The Chapel, House of St Barnabas, 1 Greek Street, London W1D 4NQ On the eve of September issue’s redesign, newly appointed Editor-in-Chief Anne-Marie Curtis shares her vision for ELLE with the Walpole membership, in conversation with Walpole CEO, Helen Brocklebank.The world’s biggest-selling fashion magazine, ELLE has set the British style agenda since its launch in 1985, with a fresh, individual viewpoint that has always encouraged and nurtured new British talent, as well as celebrated the icons of the international fashion scene.Anne-Marie Curtis first fell in love with ELLE when still at school, and began her magazine career as an intern on ELLE under the editorship of its first editor, Sally Brampton and, after a career working on some of Britain’s most respected magazines, became ELLE’s fashion director in 2004 and earlier this year, following the departure of Lorraine Candy to News UK, became ELLE’s Editor-in-Chief.On 8th August Walpole CEO Helen Brocklebank talks to Anne-Marie Curtis about the importance of following your dreams, her vision for the future, setting the style agenda for a new generation and why, as Curtis says, ‘unwavering determination, a passion for the creative world and a monumental work ethic’ are the heartbeat of success.Walpole are delighted to be hosted by The House of St Barnabas. The House is a not-for-profit members' club and charity, pledging to break the cycle of homelessness. Anne-Marie began her career in fashion in the early 1990s. She became Fashion Director and a founding member of Wallpaper*, launching the title and helping to grow the brand to incredible success, before consulting for many of the UK's leading fashion brands and eventually joining ELLE in 2004. In 2016, she was appointed editor-in-chief of ELLE UK, one of the world's biggest media fashion brands. After over a decade at ELLE, Anne-Marie has played a crucial role in both the creative and commercial success of the brand, as well as determining the magazine's fashion content and style aesthetic.
