In partnership with London Business School (LBS), the Luxury Leaders of Tomorrow initiative seeks to develop a group of students on the institution's MBA programmes with the aim of encouraging them to take up global management positions in the British luxury sector upon graduation.
Walpole member companies and their senior executives provide the opportunity for students to gain real experience in successful luxury brands with the aim of nurturing the sector’s next generation of leaders. Scholarships are available to broaden the reach of the programme.
The Luxury Leaders of Tomorrow programme comprises a combination of in-person visits, experiential tours to Walpole member brands and talks by senior executives all providing the opportunity for students to gain deep insight into successful luxury marques.
Recent guest speakers have included: Arnaud Champenois, Senior Vice President, Global Brand, Marketing and Communications of Belmond; Kristina Blahnik, CEO of Manolo Blahnik; and Ian Earnshaw, Chief Commercial Officer of Mulberry.
The students are mentored by a senior business leader from within the Walpole membership and have the opportunity to work closely with member brands on their individual projects, giving them access to top names in the luxury industry.
The Luxury Leaders of Tomorrow programme is exclusive to first year full-time MBA at London Business School and students on other full-time Masters Programmes.
