Kathryn Sargent

Breaking with tradition, she offers tailoring for both men and women, with no segregation. A garment by Kathryn Sargent is unique, Kathryn brings a woman’s eye, ear, and hand to the craft of traditional Savile Row tailoring. Focusing on the needs of the client rather than a set house style Kathryn advises and collaborates, creating garments that bear some of her signature elements but are entirely individual to each client. Kathryn was a rising star during her fifteen-year career at Gieves & Hawkes of No.1 Savile Row where she rose to the position of Head Cutter, the first woman to do so in the entire history of Savile Row. Kathryn founded her own Savile Row Bespoke tailoring house in 2012, the atelier is located at No. 6 Brook Street in London’s prestigious Mayfair. To worldwide acclaim, in 2016, Kathryn achieved another first by becoming the first female Master Tailor on Savile Row with a yearlong seasonal store. Kathryn’s approach brings together her traditional Savile Row training and respect for the craft combined with a contemporary eye and a laser focus on what works best for each client’s image and needs, meaning garments are created with the client not simply for the client. Kathryn Sargent provides both a full Bespoke and a Crafted made to measure service from her atelier at 6 Brook Street or on one of her tri-annual seasonal trips to the US. www.kathrynsargent.com
