Bowmore Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky has unveiled the second iteration of its 'Designed by Aston Martin' limited-edition collection, exclusively in Global Travel Retail. Following the inaugural release in 2021, the two titans of British luxury have teamed up once again in a collaboration that celebrates the coming together of Bowmore’s GTR whiskies with the world-renowned design function of Aston Martin to create a striking, limited edition bottle and pack design. This new visual story highlights three different cars pivotal to the evolution of Aston Martin, celebrating the collaborative connection and stories between the worlds of single malt and luxury automotive.
With this series, the existing Bowmore 10, 15 and 18 Year Old single malts provide the inspiration to Aston Martin’s design experts to select car designs and their stories which align with the distinctive character of each of the whiskies. The subsequent styling gives the range of whiskies a standout look featuring highly significant cars from iconic marque’s heritage, which have made an indelible mark of the company’s evolution and design philosophy.
The bold character of Bowmore 10 Years Old comes together with hugely ambitious Aston Martin 1922 GP ‘TT2’ to tell a story of ground-breaking vision and strength of character. The 1922 GP ‘TT2’, a car designed singularly to take part in the French Grand Prix in 1922, celebrates certitude, commitment and vigour which reflects the defining depth accelerated by the selection of Sherry Oak casks for the maturation of this 10 year old spirit. Driven by intrigue and intensity, uniting bold flavours to define an enthralling journey of passion and belief.
With a shared desire for refinement and elegance, the Aston Martin AM V8 and Bowmore 15 Year Old perfectly captures the vision of their respective creators. Defining true sophistication in every aspect, finessed in both style and substance, to elevate this eye catching and palate thrilling partnership. The AM V8 symbolised a definitive chapter of signature styling for Aston Martin with truly elegant lines and shapes bringing much distinction and flair. This is the perfect pairing with Bowmore 15 Year Old, itself, the epitome of elegance, with a refined and opulent character from the perfect combination of first fill Bourbon and hogsheads.
Despite originating from contrasting worlds, the Aston Martin 1959 DBR4 and Bowmore 18 Year Old come together in the name of optimal performance. The DBR4 truly captured Aston Martin’s game-changing ambition to enter the highly competitive arena of Formula One motor racing. Alongside the complexity and perfect balance of Bowmore 18 year Old, a celebration of dignified rarity driven by highly performing Oloroso and PX Sherry casks, the combined outcome promises a mesmerising and seductive encounter.
