When it comes to distinguished British gentlemen, few embody the title better than suave, homegrown supermodel David Gandy. With that in mind, it makes a lot of sense that Walpole member Hackett London has selected him to showcase the new collection of its No.14 Savile Row label – the brand's most exclusive line dedicated to elevated yet effortless style for every occasion, inspired by (and utilising) the time-honoured techniques found on the world's most famous tailoring street.
As you might expect from a collection inspired by suiting, these items feature prominently in the offering for Spring/Summer 2025. Exquisite fabrics such as sharkskin, fresco, and wool-silk-linen blends are used on double- and single-breasted two- and three-pieces that are lightweight and unstructured (in other words, perfect for summer weddings and special events). Notable pieces include the unconstructed "Lords" block suit, the double-breasted puppy tooth suit in soft green, and the butter-yellow linen suit, which combines style with sun-appropriate practicality.
The collection also offers a selection of casual essentials, such as pleat-front cotton-linen trousers that pair beautifully with soft linen shirts in a range of fresh colours, white jeans with a minimalist, rivet-free design, and a nautical-inspired shawl collar knit, as well as '4Flex' stretch shirts in newly-introduced stripes that dd a playful-yet-refined touch to any summer outfit.
Founded in 1983 by Jeremy Hackett and Ashley Lloyd-Jennings, the Hackett London began as a treasure trove of impeccable vintage British menswear on London’s Portobello Road. It quickly evolved into a global leader in luxury tailoring, renowned for its unwavering commitment to quality and quintessentially British aesthetic. It's reassuring to see that this collection is still embodying the duo's founding thought.
