Whatever the client chooses, Audley’s team of Private Travel Managers connect them to the best people in a destination, from private guides and celebrated experts to yacht skippers and personal chefs.

Walpole: Tell us about the history of your brand...

James Pook: Audley Travel has been a leader in tailor-made travel for 30 years. We deliver unrivalled destination knowledge and authentic experiences with a very high level of personal service as each itinerary is designed by a country specialist who has either lived, worked or travelled extensively in the destination they sell. Audley’s trips cover over 80 destinations and each itinerary is designed specifically for the client based on their tastes, budget and wish list.

In recent years, the ultra-high end of the travel market has grown rapidly. Launched in 2024, Audley Private Concierge is an invitation-only service designed for those who travel frequently. There are no membership fees or hidden costs, and Audley Private Concierge clients benefit from all of the expert destination knowledge and operational excellence of Audley Travel, with added personal and streamlined interaction through arranging trips with their own dedicated Private Travel Manager.

What is your brand best known for?

Taking the breadth and depth of experience and expertise in Audley Travel and elevating it to deliver a more personalised and streamlined client experience for regular travellers, along with individually tailored proactive inspiration and invites to exclusive events.

What has been a significant achievement in your company’s timeline?

Ending our first year with an Net Promoter Score of 97% customer satisfaction.

Audley Private Concierge is all about inspiring and delivering exceptional travel experiences for our clients. I especially love getting clients and colleagues together at our exclusive Audley Private Concierge events, because this is a community of passionate travellers and we all love sharing travel stories and inspiring one another.

Why does your brand represent the very best in British luxury?

Audley Travel is an established and home-grown British business. As a member of Audley Private Concierge, travel can be whatever the client wants it to be. Our exclusive, invitation-only service opens up a world where they can explore more freely and fulfil their travel aspirations, no matter how personal. We designed it for passionate travellers who seek authenticity paired with the highest standards. Luxury is theirs to define, whether that’s a need for total privacy, access to the world’s most prestigious events, or experiences that lift them far above the ordinary.

What attracted you to becoming a Walpole member?

We’re excited to join a community which represents the best of British luxury, making connections and learning from one another.

If you could collaborate with another Walpole member, which one would you choose?

We’d love to explore potential partnerships with Aston Martin because I feel our brands would align perfectly.

Tell us about an exciting development or new launch for your brand in the coming months?

One of the trends we saw emerge through 2024 was demand for exclusive stays – buying out a property for a multi-generational family or group of friends. In January, Audley Private Concierge was among the first to stay in Wild Hill in Kenya. Perched on the highest point in the Masai Mara with endless views and an incredible range of experiences on offer, this is a perfect example of how our clients aspire to travel.
