Walpole: Tell us about your company…

Catherine Morris: At Tradelinens, we specialise in premium bed, bath and table linens for some of the world’s finest hotels, boutique properties and private hospitality spaces. Built on more than 90 years of combined textile expertise, we blend deep technical knowledge with an instinctive understanding of what exceptional hospitality should feel like.

Luxury is often experienced through the details: the softness of perfectly laundered sheets, the weight of a towel, or the finish of a beautifully dressed table. These quiet touches shape how guests feel from the moment they arrive. Our role is to help hospitality brands create those experiences consistently, while ensuring products perform operationally at the highest level.

Our approach is highly collaborative. We work closely with owners, designers and operators to develop bespoke linen solutions tailored to each property’s identity, balancing aesthetic refinement with durability, performance and commercial practicality. From specification and sampling through to laundry onboarding and stock management, we provide hands-on guidance at every stage.

Today, our linens are trusted across more than 15,000 luxury bedrooms worldwide. In 2025, we became a certified B Corp, reflecting our long-standing commitment to responsible business practices and more sustainable standards within the hospitality sector.

We are also proud to be a female-led business, with 85% of senior roles held by women, helping shape a collaborative and people-focused culture that sits at the heart of how we work with both clients and partners.

What is your area of expertise and how can luxury brands benefit from working with you?

Our expertise lies in creating luxury textile solutions that elevate guest experience while standing up to the operational realities of world-class hospitality environments.

We advise on every aspect of bed, bath and table linen specification, from fibre selection and product construction through to laundering performance, longevity and stock management. Because we understand both the creative and operational sides of hospitality, we help brands make decisions that not only look and feel exceptional, but also deliver consistency and long-term value.

For luxury hospitality brands, we act as an extension of their team, combining technical textile knowledge with a highly personal, service-led approach. Whether launching a new property, refurbishing guest rooms or refining a guest experience, we help ensure every detail aligns with the standards their guests expect.

Alongside our hospitality work, we also operate a luxury direct-to-consumer retail brand, giving us valuable insight into evolving customer expectations, product storytelling and premium brand positioning. This dual perspective allows us to support brands not only operationally, but also creatively when developing meaningful partnerships and guest experiences.

Sustainability is central to our approach. We were the first UK trade linen company to join the Better Cotton Initiative in 2016, and today we are both B Corp and GOTS certified. We are also currently exploring a collaboration with a UK-based, Environment Agency-registered recycling partner to help create a closed-loop end-of-life solution for hospitality linens — supporting clients looking to further reduce textile waste and improve circularity across their operations.

What luxury brands has your company worked with previously?

Over the years, we have partnered with some of the most iconic luxury hospitality brands in the UK and internationally, spanning globally recognised hotel groups, leading boutique operators, contemporary lifestyle brands, private estates and award-winning independent properties.

Our linens are currently used across more than 15,000 luxury bedrooms worldwide, supporting an incredibly diverse range of hospitality environments, from heritage five-star hotels and refined country house retreats to design-led urban destinations and modern members’ clubs. Many of the brands we work with have highly distinctive identities and very different guest expectations, which is why our approach is always tailored rather than one-size-fits-all.

Alongside supplying premium bed, bath and table linens, we also collaborate closely with clients to develop bespoke and white-label collections that reflect the character of each property and enhance the overall guest experience. Whether understated and classic or contemporary and design-led, our role is to help translate a brand’s identity into the tactile details guests interact with every day.

Much of our work is relationship-led and built on long-standing partnerships, with clients valuing not only the quality of our products, but also our ability to combine creativity, technical expertise and operational understanding within luxury hospitality settings.

What has been a significant achievement in your company’s timeline?

Becoming a certified B Corp in 2025 was a particularly important milestone for our business. It recognised the values that have shaped Tradelinens for many years: responsible sourcing, long-term thinking, transparency and a commitment to doing business in a more considered way. In many ways, it formalised work we had already been investing in for nearly a decade, including becoming the first UK trade linen company to join the Better Cotton Initiative back in 2016.

Another significant achievement has been building a business culture centred around collaboration, expertise and long-term relationships. As a female-led company, we are proud to have created a leadership team that brings both commercial strength and a highly relationship-driven approach to the luxury hospitality sector.

Seeing our linens specified across a broad portfolio of luxury properties worldwide is something we are incredibly proud of, particularly because much of our growth has come through long-standing partnerships, referrals and trust built over time within the industry.

Why was it important for your organisation to be involved with Walpole?

Walpole represents a community of brands and businesses that share a commitment to craftsmanship, quality, innovation and exceptional customer experience; values that strongly align with our own.

As a supplier operating within the luxury hospitality and lifestyle sectors, joining Walpole felt like a natural step. We are passionate about building meaningful partnerships with brands that understand the importance of detail, longevity and thoughtful design.

We also see significant value in the opportunity to collaborate and exchange ideas across different areas of the luxury industry, from hospitality and interiors through to retail and lifestyle brands. As our business continues to evolve, we are excited to contribute to and learn from a network that is helping shape the future of British luxury.

Tell us about an exciting development or new launch for your brand in the coming months?

The coming months are an exciting period for Tradelinens as we continue to expand both our hospitality offering and our luxury retail presence. Following our B Corp certification, we are focused on further developing responsibly sourced collections that combine exceptional comfort and performance with lower environmental impact. This includes continued investment in certified cotton programmes, traceability and more considered product development across our bed, bath and table linen collections.

A particularly exciting area of development is our exploration of a partnership with a UK-based, Environment Agency-registered recycling business to help provide a closed-loop recycling solution for end-of-life hospitality linens and filled products. As sustainability and circularity become increasingly important within luxury hospitality, we see significant opportunity to help clients reduce waste in a more straightforward and measurable way.

We are also continuing to grow our direct-to-consumer luxury retail brand, creating opportunities for thoughtful collaborations with like-minded premium brands and hospitality partners. Increasingly, we are seeing guests wanting to extend the feeling of exceptional hospitality into their homes, and we are excited by the potential to bridge those worlds through beautifully made products and shared brand experiences.
