In a world where we’re always available, how do you separate your personal time from your work time?
Jemma Lester: It’s certainly tricky these days. I very much value downtime in my week, so I allocate time in my diary for family and personal wellbeing time. It’s a non-negotiable part of my routine so I can remain balanced.
What’s one thing you do after the work day to help you unwind?
Pilates. It provides me with a sense of balance both mentally and physically.
What activity do you do in your time away from work that helps you relax and recentre after a stressful week?
I walk. Being Australian, I miss the great outdoors very much and I'm constantly looking for a drop of Vitamin D.
What’s something you’ve read, listened to or seen in your spare time that’s helped you at work?
I read the FT on the weekends – every inch! I love it. It gives me inspiration for the week ahead.
After home and your workspace, where’s your favourite third space?
The gym at Soho House in White City. I also love the pool and steam room.
On Sunday night, how do you prepare yourself for the week ahead?
I prepare a priority list for the week before having a bath, mask and tanning. Ladies, try Tan Luxe!
Best reason you've had to turn your Out of Office on recently?
Shooting the House of Walpole. I feel so proud that my team at LMH have had the opportunity to be part of such an incredible collaboration.
Your go-to Out of Office outfit: My tracksuit.
Your happy place anywhere in the world: Sydney, Australia.
Your favourite bar or restaurant: Dukes Bar in Mayfair, London. There's something about having a Martini with a twist that makes you feel like you are in a James Bond movie.
Something cultural/sporting you booked recently that you'd recommend: A Coldplay Concert. The last tour was such inspiration. What a close group of wonderful friends and musicians! Their culture and commitment is a credit to them.
Something you've listened to or read recently that you'd recommend and why: The Akimbo Podcast, hosted by marketing guru Seth Godin. It’s about culture and how it affects a business. I really believe that the right team culture breeds success.
A hobby you'd like to cultivate: Cooking. I never cook, my husband does. I find it relaxing to creatively work my way through a recipe, when I have the time to cook with love.
A luxury that’s actually a necessity: Laughing with old friends.
Best luxury under £25: 111skin eye masks. I’m obsessed with them. They make you feel like a new woman.
