Why British luxury brands should go to London Packaging Week 2026

Partner News
2nd September 2026

Luxury packaging has never been expected to do more: it has to express craftsmanship, justify premium positioning, and respond to growing sustainability expectations, all while creating memorable consumer experiences.

Meeting those expectations demands expertise that no single organisation can deliver alone. That's where London Packaging Week can help. Spanning five dedicated show zones, this event brings together the entire luxury packaging value chain, creating opportunities to explore new materials, exchange ideas, and build the partnerships behind tomorrow's luxury packaging.

"Luxury packaging is evolving faster than ever before," says Sema Tezel Basbug, Head of Marketing at Easyfairs UK. "Brands now have to combine exceptional creativity with material innovation, sustainability and commercial performance, while continuing to create experiences consumers genuinely value.

"London Packaging Week brings together the people driving that evolution, creating opportunities to share ideas, challenge convention, and inspire the next generation of luxury packaging."

Returning to Excel London on 16th and 17th September 2026, London Packaging Week will welcome more than 5,700 visitors, over 220 exhibitors, and 90 expert speakers to explore the groundbreaking ideas and innovations in a new frontier for luxury packaging.

Here, the team from London Packaging Week tell us a little more about what we can expect at the event...

Hear from the creative minds shaping luxury's future

If the exhibition showcases what's changing, the conference programme explains why. Heritage, storytelling and cultural relevance are explored by Piera Toniolo of Dolce & Gabbana and Alex Center, Founder & Designer at CENTER. Meanwhile, Steve Honour, Global Head of Design – Luxury & Single Malts at Diageo, Jo Smith, Global Design Lead at Diageo, Malorie Lacoste of Penhaligon's, Sarah Sherring of Molton Brown, and Rachel Meckes of L'Occitane will share how some of the world's most respected luxury brands are approaching design, innovation and premium consumer experience.

Looking further ahead, Chris Sanderson of The Future Laboratory, Helen Brocklebank of Walpole, Nicki Morley of Kantar, and Jono Wylie of eatbigfish examine the cultural, commercial and consumer shifts that will shape the next generation of luxury packaging.

Discover what's new for 2026

Built around the theme of 'discovery', London Packaging Week introduces a series of new experiences designed to inspire fresh thinking and valuable new connections.

New for 2026, the Design Hub (powered by Pentawards) creates a dedicated destination for the global packaging design community, while the Innovation Gallery showcases breakthrough materials and award-winning ideas through curated displays and expert-led tours.

The Discovery Theatre shines a spotlight on emerging innovators, and the new Podcast Studio hosts candid conversations with the designers, brands and decision-makers shaping packaging today.

Networking remains one of London Packaging Week's defining strengths. The Inner Circle Bar, Design Networking Drinks, Happy Hours, the Women in Packaging Breakfast and First Timers Drinks create relaxed opportunities to continue conversations, forge new partnerships and connect with the people shaping the future of luxury packaging.

Be the first to find out what's next

Luxury packaging has become one of the most strategically important disciplines in modern brand building.

The ideas shaping its future will not come from one company, one material or one perspective. They will emerge through collaboration among designers, brands, material innovators, and manufacturers prepared to challenge convention and learn from one another.

That's what makes London Packaging Week unique.

London Packaging Week runs from 16th to 17th September 2026 at Excel London
