Arriving at The Dorchester, guests will watch as a flurry of twinkly snowflakes appear on the hotel façade and, once through the famous revolving doors, they will see The Dorchester’s legendary Christmas tree standing proudly in the lobby next to a giant clock counting down to Christmas Eve.

Guests will be able to pen a letter to Father Christmas on bespoke stationery before having it stamped with special postage at the front desk and posting it in a traditional red post box to be magically whisked away to Father Christmas’ sorting office.

A hidden festive cinema snug will show all the much-loved classic Christmas films to be enjoyed with movie snacks, comfy sofas and hot chocolate.

The Bar at The Dorchester is a cosy corner of the hotel to enjoy winter cocktails created by an award-winning team of alchemists led by cocktail legend Giuliano Morandin, who celebrates his 40th Christmas at the hotel. As well as festive cocktails, such as the Naughty or Nice mulled wine or the Snowflake Negroni, guests can enjoy winter warmers including signature hot chocolates.

The festive season will be in full swing at The Grill at The Dorchester, with seasonal menus and live music throughout Christmas and New Year. Head chef, Tom Booton, proudly presents a modern twist on traditional British dishes in this warm and welcoming space at the heart of the hotel.

Afternoon tea at The Promenade has been a part of Christmas at The Dorchester since 1931 and is always an occasion to remember, with festive-inspired menus and live music surrounded by Spruce trees. On weekends throughout the season, The Dorchester will also welcome a talented school choir, who perform traditional carols as guests enjoy festive pastries and warm scones.

In-house designer florist Philip Hammond is in charge of the festive designs at The Dorchester and guests can experience first-hand his expertise with a Christmas floral masterclass.

Guests also have the option to enjoy Christmas Day Lunch in the three Michelin starred Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, where executive chef Jean-Philippe Blondet will present a contemporary reinterpretation of holiday cuisine with a six-course menu, including wine pairings.
