Mulberry goes soft(ie)

As the weather turns and we face increasingly chillier days here in the UK, it seems Mulberry has picked the perfect time to re-introduce its first apparel since the brand shuttered its ready-to-wear line in early 2020. Today, Mulberry has expanded its cult Softie collection of bags to include eight pieces of distinctly autumn-appropriate outerwear.

You can see the full collection in the gallery below.

Originally launched in February this year, the Mulberry Softie bag's puffy quilting has become an instantly recognisable house signature. You'll find this detailing deployed across the new outerwear capsule, which comprises three jackets, a gilet, and two coats (a belted midi style and a voluminous cape), as well as a scarf and skirt. The Softie quilted bomber (pictured below), shell jacket, hooded puffer and scarf are all intended to be unisex and genderless.

Mulberry’s Postman’s Lock fastenings are also used throughout the collection, which is available in a palette of black, khaki, Mulberry Green and tobacco brown. And, in line with Mulberry’s Made to Last initiative, every piece in the collection is padded with recycled silk and the garment outers crafted from recycled nylon. Autumn has met its match in suitably sustainable style.

The Softie outerwear collection is now available at mulberry.com
