Set on the ground floor of the former banking hall, the British-grown Premier Nordman tree is dressed with 6,500 traditional fairy lights, more than 1,000 gold, ivory and champagne baubles and golden leather leaf ferns.

Created by in-house florists Grandirosa, the classic decorations spread a festive glow throughout the ground floor. In the middle of it all hangs the largest twinkling wreath in the City, illuminating The Nickel Stage, where live music will be performed every day throughout December.

Lil Caldwell, co-founder of Grandirosa, said: “This is our fifth Christmas dressing The Ned and it’s so special after the past eighteen months. The ‘halo’ wreath that hovers above carol singers and musicians on the stage is the showpiece, we hope the holiday season’s guests enjoy gazing at it.”
