Walpole is pleased to announce the launch of the London Business School (LBS) Walpole Luxury Scholarship MBA, an initiative designed to help a candidate coming from an organisation within the Walpole family to become a next-generation leader in the luxury sector.
Recipients of the full-time scholarship, which grants up to 50% of the course fees, will be expected to play a leadership role in the Walpole & LBS Luxury Leaders of Tomorrow Programme.
The LBS Walpole scholar will be expected to return to the luxury and retail sector, or work in a related role (e.g. join a strategy consulting firm with the aim of joining their retail/luxury practice). Applicants who join LBS from Walpole companies which part-sponsor their studies with the understanding of returning, will be viewed favourably for the scholarship.
Candidates applying to LBS from Walpole companies should identify themselves to the Scholarships Committee for consideration once they have applied to the MBA. Scholarships are only awarded after admission to the programme, but before enrolment. Eligible candidates will only be awarded the scholarship if the London Business School deems them to be of an equivalent calibre to other MBA merit scholarship recipients. Merit scholars are chosen based on excellence in a number of criteria: academic record, work experience, test scores (GMAT / GRE) and interview performance.
"The Walpole LBS scholarship offers an exceptional opportunity for a Walpole Member to hone their strategic business skills at one of the world's top business schools," said Walpole Chief Executive Officer, Helen Brocklebank.
"British luxury has some of the brightest, most dynamic talent in its brands, so it is incredibly exciting to have a partnership which offers such a generous and valuable scholarship.”
Applications for the August 2023 intake are now open. You can find more information about the LBS admission timeline and application process at london.edu
