On Tuesday 28th January under the chandeliers of the stunning Tapestry Room of The Ned in the City of London, we unveiled the 12 emerging British brands selected to participate in the Walpole Brands of Tomorrow 2022, supported by partners Mishcon de Reya and moneycorp.
Now in its milestone 15th year, our Brands of Tomorrow programme has helped develop and nurture over 120 emerging luxury brands, and has proudly seen them become leaders in their respective fields. Many of those that have participated have not only grown significantly, but also found international success – Orlebar Brown, Bremont, Nyetimber, Emilia Wickstead, Miller Harris, Astley Clarke, amongst others.
"Since its launch fifteen years ago, Walpole’s flagship development programme, Brands of Tomorrow, has been a key pillar of our work to drive the growth of the British luxury sector," says Helen Brocklebank, CEO of Walpole.
"So far, we’ve taken 142 early-stage, high-end brands through a tried and trusted programme of mentoring and masterclasses, immersing their founders in the support, help and advice of their fellow Walpole members and investing the time and talents of established British luxury brands into nurturing and developing the potential of new ones."
The 12 brands selected now embark on a year-long mentorship programme with some of the most respected names at some of the most powerful luxury businesses in the United Kingdom.
However, before their first mentoring session, there was plenty of time for the brands to toast this momentous achievement with a few Walpole friends over a Soho Mule or two.
