Brands of Tomorrow

Brands of Tomorrow helps aspiring British luxury companies of the future to fulfil their potential. These are brands with a turnover of under £5 million that will pioneer growth, export goods and services, create employment and drive innovation in luxury in the coming decades. Founded in 2007, Walpole’s Brands of Tomorrow has helped develop and nurture almost 150 emerging luxury brands through a 12-month programme of networking and mentorship, and proudly seen them become leaders in their respective fields.

Balthazar Fabricius co-founded turf accountancy Fitzdares in 2005. In 2007, Fitzdares became an inaugural Walpole Brand of Tomorrow and is now proud to be bookmakers to the British luxury sector.

A chartered accountant, Chris was previously CFO and CEO of luxury media company BOAT International, and holds advisory and board roles with several companies.

Fard is the Director of Beauty, Home and Fine Jewellery & Watches at Harrods. She works to elevate the store’s position in these categories and to ensure they host a world-class luxury offering of products and brands.

Carla Filmer

Global Communications Director, Manolo Blahnik

Filmer is a Communications Director and Global Brand Manager with over 20 years’ experience in senior leadership roles representing some of the world’s most iconic brands, from Louis Vuitton to Lancôme.

Sean Ghouse

Director of UK Retail, Fortnum & Mason

Ghouse has worked in retail since 1993 for brands including Harrods, Nike, Dunhill, Watches of Switzerland Group and LVMH. As Director of UK Retail at Fortnum & Mason, he is passionate about guiding the next generation of retailers to contribute to societal change.

Jon Graham

Chief Executive Officer, Miller Harris

Currently Chief Executive Officer of British luxury fragrance house Miller Harris, Jon’s over 30-year retail career has seen him managing the roll-out of luxury brands in Europe, USA, Asia, Middle East and Australia through a multi-channel approach to business.

Nick Keyte

Chief Product &Brand Officer, Charles Tyrwhitt

A graduate of London College of Fashion, Keyte has worked at Marks & Spencer, John Lewis, Gieves & Hawkes and now at Charles Tyrwhitt, where he serves on the board. Keyte enjoys supporting people and business development, especially at tech start-ups and online retailers.

Justin Stead

Chief Executive Officer, Radley

Previously to his role at Radley, Stead was the Chief Executive Offiver of AurumHoldings (now the Watches of Switzerland Group). Stead is an advisor to Desmond & Dempsey and founded the Aurelius Foundation, which supports young people through Stoic philosophy.

Michael Ward

Managing Director, Harrods

Ward joined Harrods as Managing Director in 2005, where he has overseen programmes of expansion within the store, as well as the transition to new ownership by the Qatar Investment Authority. Michael is currently Chairman of Walpole.
